Project Description:

Mediacurrent partnered with Times3Design to create a content management system for the Emory University Michael C. Carlos Museum.

Emory needed a CMS web site to showcase their collections of artifacts, online gift shop, offer podcasts, and provide routine updates and announcements for site and museum visitors via calendar and dynamic home page content. Drupal provided the perfect customizable framework to fulfill those client requests.

Project Goals:

The goals of this project were to redesign the existing, static HTML web site for the Carlos Museum and replace it with a modern content management system that would greatly reduce file and content management efforts on behalf of the museum's staff. The static website also needed to be overhauled to improve navigation, content categorization, and the overall visitor experience.

Other goals included:
- Create a Custom CMS Workflow for Adding, Archiving, Categorizing, and Displaying Museum Artifacts
- Create a Site Web Calendar to Display Monthly Events
- Create Ability for Site to Host Podcasts for User Download
- Inventory - the museum's bookshop inventory is now displayed on the site.
